Compilation worked with all the previous kernels, but s6k was having trouble compiling with the new kernel (2.6.24.2.1).
I tried and it didn't work for me either without specifically supplying the source path. [/u]

I simply made sure to install the development tools during install, and I was able to install the NVidia drivers easily. I downloaded the driver to my home directory, right-clciked on it and set it to executable, the opened a terminal, logged in as root (su), and typed:
/sbin/telinit 3
This killed X and dropped me to a shell, where I went CTRL-Alt-F3 (or F1, F2, etc) to drop me to another virtual terminal. Once there, log on as root (su), and simply run: sh NVIDIA and tap the TAB key to auto-complete the driver name, then hit enter to run. Say no to checking for a pre-compiled module, and let it compile for you. Only took a minute or so on my box. Say Yes to automatically configure at end, then type STARTX to restart the xserver. I then log back in as root in X to set up the Nvidia display control in the menu, then log back out and back in as normal user. Everything works fine.
I am using an Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 card. I have no problems when doing it this way.

If you need the nvidia drivers, use the following command when compiling so that it can find the headers:
Code:
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.01-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path=/usr/src/kernels/2.6.24.2.1-1blag.f7-i686/

I checked and the NVIDIA drivers don't seem to compile with the latest Kernel in testing. I'm not really sure why since -devel and -headers are available.

I can relate , being new to blag and experiencing the same problems i had My questions answered in another section of support tilted" a few questions about the os" and if you look "Nvida support" post as well this should help as it did me also there are lot of other post as well you can read That i have found helpful. Try this though
First, become root and back up your xorg.conf.
Then, edit xorg.conf (still as root).
In the "screen" section at the end of the file, add a "modes" line listing the resolutions you want (drop it in after the "depth" line).
Code:
Modes "1680x1050" "1280x1024" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
Save, kill x and restart x.
I hope that this has helped in some way
good luck

Post subject: NVIDIA® GeForce®4™ MX graphics
i've searched around for something that might help me out, but there are so many video card issues related to linux and blag, that even on this lesser known distro, i get almost 300 results.
what does it take to get this video card, NVIDIA® GeForce®4™ MX graphics, to work out of the box when installing blag?
i installed blag on another machine of mine yesterday, wiping out zenwlk 5.0, but couldn't get a better resolution than 800x640. when i tried to edit xorg, there wasn't particularly squat there to edit except 24 something color. i think i'm beginning to like blag better than zw, but don't really want to go through major pains trying to get one of my "newer" video cards working correctly. it does work correctly out of the box in zw.
thank you
