I have an IBM Thinkpad X30. ... .2C_X32.29
It's a small laptop with no internal CD-ROm tray. If you need to boot from an external USB cd drive;
- Enter the BIOS and turn of the power management
- Use the parameter `linux askmethod` when you boot from the cd.
- You will be presented with a list of places to boot from, choose CD-rom
- If the screen goes blank, don't worry. Just hit <alt><f7> for the graphical install.
I -think- that the first two things above give (something ??) enough time to find the cd media. I've never been able to boot blag onto this laptop up until now. :)

Once you've installed BLAG you will find that the text in the virtual terminals are occupying the centre of the screen. As root, edit your /boot/grub/menu.1st file to look like this:-

title BLAG (2.6.11-1.14_FC3)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.11-1.14_FC3 ro root=LABEL=/1 rhgb quiet vga=791
        initrd /initrd-2.6.11-1.14_FC3.img

Note the vga parameter, that's for the vga graphics and ting.
The next time you reboot you will be greeted with Tux, the penguin mascot for Linux and text in all virtual terminals will fill the entire screen.

I have added the vga parameter to a number of machines and they all result in Tux logos and small text with fine/sharp resolution in virtual terminals
It's taken me some time to work this out.

BLAG 'em up!
