The second beta of BLAG30k has been released. Please test and let me know if you see any final issues.

There were lots of updates from Beta 1, including a new xorg-x11, apt, initscripts, gimp, anaconda, etc.

If this release looks final enough, I'll roll it and call it stable. :)

OK. So it seems the good folks at distrowatch have linked directly to the DVD ISO.

Oh woe says the ISP.

No probs here, but did anyone bother to make sure the DVD boots? ;)

Once upon a time the CD was the distro and the DVD was for "developers" who could handle "eccentricities". It looks like more folks like the DVD than the CD now.

/me oh no! The DVD! But I meant perfection for the CD!

Have fun,

Torrents are now available too. You can see the torrent list here:

So to get the most recent one (as of this writing), you'd run something like:

Code: --url

Hello everyone. I just installed BLAG after replacing Kubuntu Hoary 5.04. I'm really impressed! I've been tinkering with Linux for about three months (Linspire, Xandros 3.0, Ubuntu, Fedora Core 3, Kubuntu and now BLAG 30K beta 2)). I'm surprised I haven't heard more about this great distro! I discovered it after reading an announcement last week in It seems to combine the best features of Ubuntu and Fedora. The list of apps is just about perfect, the theme looks great and so far it's very easy to use and stable. Little touches like Synaptic standard with a large selection of repositories is what really impresses me. I look forward to getting to know you all and learning more about BLAG. To the developers, thank you and keep up the great work! :)
