Well at first impression,it is pretty good and stable(unlike the betas of FC2). And I'm stilll having lagging sound, even though i'm using alsa. But the nice feature is in KDE 3.2(which i got using synaptic),when a prog is not responding, you can kill it by pressing ok in the kill window that pops up,and I tell you, every time kaffeine crashed,I had to restart x,not anymore. Really,20k alpha is fast, and everything loads lightning quick on my box (Duron 1100,256MB of ram). The only i see wrong is that the 20000 BLAG repositores are not up,maybe thats because 20000 isnt released yet. Anyway,BLAG 20000 is coming well on my box,and I can't wait until the official 20000 comes out.

UPDATE: Forget it,messed up winbloz.

Messed up winbloz? Is this the XP issue? I don't know of a workaround for that. I thought it may have been fixed in the errata kernel, but I haven't seen mention of it.

For those that don't know: Fedora Core 2 fucks up dual booting Windoz XP. There are some workarounds I've seen on the 'net, but they are all a bit hairy. I believe it is just limited to XP.

I'd certainly like to get a fix for this on the CD, but as of now I don't know of one...

Theres just one prob though,I reinstalled 10k,and it still don't work, what now?

I don't have an answer to that, unfortunately. I think the solutions in the URLs above should get things sorted out. I don't have XP (or any windoz whatsoever), so I can't test it.

ok but the prob is i don't have linux's fdisk. Where can i get it?

If you have blag installed, you have fdisk:

Code:
/sbin/fdisk

If you log in directly as root, you can just run fdisk without the /sbin.

Boot off the Windows XP CD into the Recovery Console and type fixmbr. This will fix the MBR the Linux bootloader overwrote. Then install your bootloader manually and all will be fine.

In support, this also resolved by changing LBA in the BIOS. See:

I think there are actually two issues with Fedora 2 and XP playing together. Both were covered in this thread and the link you gave. I will check to see if it affects Windows 2000 though it never before when I tried out RH Fedora.
