|Post subject:||Profile on a Live USB|
Hi I've been playing with the various apps to put Blag on a live usb stick but haven't found out how to leave a persistent profile on the pendrive once I've got it up and running.
The ubuntu app installed Blag on the entire pendrive, unetbootin worked well but was limited and the Fedora LiveUSB Creator achieved what the other couldn't and created persistent storage within the live environment.
However, non of the above install an editable user and password set up and I'm not sure how to go forward from here, I'd like to be able to store bookmarks in my browser etc but at the moment all I can do is save files to folders on the drive.
Any ideas? thanks

Maybe installing blag on the USB stick the same way you install it on an hard drive?
Edit: Did you try this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_create_and_use_Live_USB#Data_Persistence?

Thanks for the link, I can see now why the --home-size-mb option is better than using --overlay-size-mb
Before doing anything the livedisk had to be brought up to speed by using
$ su -c "yum install livecd-tools" then proceeded with usb installation
Result: I couldn't use sudo on livedvd so used su as no password needed, then from root used command as suggested
livecd-iso-to-disk --home-size-mb 1000 /path/to/ISO /dev/USBPARTITIONNAME
Rebooted and works, now have home folder and space to leave persistent liveuser configurations without hopefully eating away at allotted space with the --overlay option?
