Oh, and this also implies that synaptic is the preferred GUI package manager...

Why not smart as the package manager? It handles apt and yum sources perfectly ...

i am using it with 49k and the blag49k apt-repos. i have added the livna yum-repo for extra ati-xorg packages without any problems.

Really? no, update works well, too. Everything is fine here.

EDIT: Please check a dependency jebba. If i want to upgrade, synaptic and smart too want to upgrade streamtuner to the fc5-version. This version includes a dependency to the beep media player and that is quite uncool ;)

Ok. I removed the fedora streamtuner (with a higher release number) and left the rpmforge one, which doesn't require bmp.

The repo will reflect it next time i run genbasedir.
