quantum fireball ST: the blag installation program doesn't seem to recongnize this thing. so then i decide to continue installation, i get past language and keyboard setup, i select OK when the popup mentioning the blag linux website comes up, and then i get the following error message:
| Code: | An unhandled exception has occured. This is most likely a bug. Please copy the full text of this exception or save the crash dump to a floppy then file a detailed bug report against anaconda at http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/

childpid = os.fork()
OSError: [Errno 12] Cannot allocate memory |
Then there are 3 options, Ok, Save and Debug. I selected Debug.
I then got the same error message about, plus the following:
| Code: | > /usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/rhpl/executil.py(50)execWithRedirect()
-> childpid = os.fork() |
I then get a prompt that says:
and then i press Ctrl+D to get out of there. I then get:
| Code: | install exited abnormally

sending kill signals...done

you may safely reboot your computer

The computer is a Pentium 75 mhz, 32 MB of RAM, and i don't know an awful lot else about it.

Which version of BLAG is this? I know you were testing the alpha--I hope it's that one. ;)
Also, it looks like you may be running out of system memory. I don't see that this is due to the HD. Are you using the text-mode installer?
For text mode install, at the "boot:" prompt of the CD type "linux text". This requires far less RAM.
Or you can do an automajick install WHICH WILL ERASE ALL DATA ON THE COMPUTER. To do that, type "serverblag" at the boot: prompt, which will give you a nice little server.

yes, yes i am doing a text install, and i'm using a BLAG 10000 right now. i'll try an automajick, because i don't have anything i want on that computer. it seems the quantum fireball ST has quite a few issues:
http://www.google.com/linux?sourceid=mozclient&restrict=linux&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=quantum+fireball+ST
also, when i try doing a serverblag install, it says that it can't find any valid devices to install to, to check my hardware.
