No sound in asf online streams

Well I actually had this problem since 10000,when I run one of my asf stream s in Mozilla,MPlayer,Kaffeine,gxine,there is no sound in any of them.

Hmm. I'm not sure. I did once read about the prelinker causing problems with .wmv files, but that was just mplayer.

Do you have a URL of a test file I can try?

Maybe you need a sound codec.

I use Xine, I downloaded the standard codec file from mplayer site and I can play almost anything.

mkdir /usr/lib/win32
toss the files in there and start up xine.

cant seem to get mplayer to work properly though
