Have your tried running sndconfig yet? Log in as root. Then go to the terminal screen. Now type in /usr/sbin/sndconfig This should help you set up your sound card.

I have the exact smae soundcard and it works perfectly on BLAG 10000 (BORROW)
Rob
quote="jglerner"]Since the first day I installed BLAG9002 I was not able to setup my CM8738 soundcard.
I even tried to install alsa stuff with a apt-get install alsa, mixing BLAG with Freshrpms/DAG/ATrpms repositories, but I'm still getting Module: disabled.
Actually I don't think that I should reinstall other distro on this box and I'm sure there is something I'm missing. The system I had before on this box was a Debian Sarge and I had no troubles with this soundcard and the older one, an Ensonic 5880 (same issue on BLAG).
Just for the records, alsa has been installed and all dependencies were fullfilled, so it seems there is no file missing.
