We have a machine here runing 2.6 . An apt-get dist-upgrade was done, and it has lost all of gnome and any kde. Only Xterm remains. (yuk) - yes the session option on login only gives 2 options "failsafe" and "current" - which is xterm.
According to synaptic, gnome is all installed.
Now we started system-config-packages, asked to reinstall gnome, and its askin for "Fedora Core 2 Disk 2". Which way forward?
