70k: Requests here!

I have started initial development of the BLAG70k series.

Currently I'm doing it in kvm, which rocks. :) http://kvm.sourceforge.net

Make requests in this thread for what you'd like to see added/removed/whatever in the 70k series.

wouldn't mind seeing nicotine return to the repo's. it seemed to disappear sometime between 40k and 50k http://nicotine.thegraveyard.org/

also, i'm quite impressed by the gnome-update-manager which appears in ubuntu etc. not sure if it would work with fedora repo's however?

ok this is hard to find stuff as BLAG is so nice already. Plus 60K is still so fresh, only have it on one box. Plan on putting it on my laptop this weekend. Here is what I could come up with as a wish list

add on CD
- perhaps durring the install you could have something that describes the what BLAG is and why it's all free software and that's important
- perhaps some more icons, I'm trying to help fill in some of the missing programs, just not good at SVG yet.

switch on CD
- Twilight Labs Links http://links.twibright.com/ instead of elinks
- replace menu of Add/remove software with Synaptic

add to repos:
- Nicotine http://nicotine.thegraveyard.org/
- missing webmin depens
- old BLAG artwork (I was working on collecting this up for you)
- rpm for DeVeDe http://www.rastersoft.com/programas/devede.html
- tilda http://tilda.sourceforge.net

switch in repos:
- seamonkey 1.0x to seamonkey 1.1x
(upgrade is far better than the firefox 2.0 upgrade and well worth it)
While you are doing that, I'd love to see you switch to the serpate contrib rpms:
http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/releases/1.1/contrib/FC_RPMS/
so one could install seamonkey without the mail or chat part
- perhaps divide up DVDs logically, (put KDE on second one?)

But they often don't (!). I don't see that page as a good default home page. Something like google, wikipedia, or whatever is much more useful.

I'd like to have bookmarks in the "Personal Toolbar Folder" and perhaps it could be more prominent there.

How about getting rid of Gnome Games? I don't know how many people actually use this, but it seems like it takes up some space that could better be used by other applications.

Actually, can't you get resier already if you do "linux resier" or something similar at boot? There are some other options to do that, I don't recall offhand. It will get you xfs somehow too.

Though why the hell you'd want a dead-end filesystem is beyond me.

Perhaps Seamonkey should use the Mozilla-Icon for an icon and Seamonkey mail should use Mozilla-Mail-Icon for an icon. Makes sense to me as seamonkey is just future developement of the traditional mozilla browser.

I was thinking of doing an icon hunt so I could match as many programs to really little guys as possible.

Feel free to put things in bugzilla. No harm if it really isn't a "bug" as we can just close it. bugzilla is not paper. ;)

Also take a look at the "One $foo to Rule Them All" bugs and see if it's relevant to any of those categories. If so, just append it there.
