Hi !
You can use Gaim for chatting with your Friends over the MSNetwork.

a much better option than using GAIM:
Graphical:
Open Synaptic, and go Settings -> Repositories. Then, uncheck all of the "enabled" checkboxes. Then, check off select one titled http://apt.sw.be/ with a type of RPM. Make sure that Distribution is set to "fedora/1/en/i386" and then click OK. Go Edit -> Reload Package Information. Then go Edit -> Search and type in aMSN. Double-click aMSN, then apply your changes (Ctrl + P). Then go back to the Repositories box, uncheck all of them, and select the ones that are http://www.blagblagblag.org/ and of type RPM. Reload them again and you are done.
Command line:
su
wget http://apt.sw.be/fedora/1/en/i386/RPMS.dag/amsn-0.94-1.1.fc1.dag.i386.rpm
if you want more skins (you probably do, they're great!), also type this:
wget: http://apt.sw.be/fedora/1/en/i386/RPMS.dag/amsn-skins-0.91-1.0.dag.noarch.rpm
rpm -Uvh amsn-0.94-1.1.fc1.dag.i386.rpm
if you downloaded the skins:
rpm -Uvh amsn-skins-0.91-1.0.dag.noarch.rpm
Not sure about you, but i'm pretty sure the command line way of getting things done is faster.

it's a firewall/NAT problem. Are you behind a router?

I shut the firewall down, but i couldn't send files this way too. Yes, I am behind a router and i don't have the admin rights to configure it or something. Does this make impossible to me to send files via aMSN?

yes it does. No admin rights on router = you're screwed. If you do get admin rights on the router, forward port 6891 to your computer.
