I've had some people (non-techish people) who want to run BLAG, but need to keep their Windows partition, and don't want to have to resize it. So I looked for a solution, and I've turned to Bochs. I installed Bochs, messed with config, and I installed BLAG on bochs. I made a mistake though: I installed the bootloader on the MBR instead of the first partition. So I'm going to reinstall, and post my disk image online once I'm done. I'm going to install XFree86, GNOME, etc. but leave out the Audio/Video because its just too slow when you factor in Bochs's emulation speed. So I'd like some feedback on what I should and should not install (remember now, this is going to be a disk image, so I don't want it too big, and size limit is 2 GB uncompressed), and I'm going to need to host it. Also, I'm going to write a guide to setting it up. Yes I know its on Win32, but it will also work with Bochs on Linux, and plus, more BLAG users is always great :)

I think you should install java, flash, amsn, and azureus ^^
What u shouldn't install ?

aMSN? Yes. Flash? Sure. Java? Why not...
But Azureus? they can get it for windoz and downloading anything of size can't be done in the approximately 150MB of free space there will be.

Great idea, after a taster they will get the urge to change from windoze.

actually, i've converted most of them to firefox on windoz anyways

A few things:
- I'm going to have to make a very large image to fit all this on...
- still working out some install issues
- need a day of free time to do this...and a full day of free time for me is only a dream right about now...
I'm thinking of changing this project over to use Qemu instead because it seems to be faster...but I think I'll produce a bochs version first.

Ok, it still refuses to boot...time to head on over to plan B....using LILO instead of GRUB (i've used LILO with bochs before, it works fine)
