I noticed programs such as Airsnort and Aircrack-ng. I want to play with these. Is there any trick to it? I managed to get Airsnort's GUI on the screen, but the program seems to be locked up.
I can't get Aircrack-ng to start. Is there a GUI?
Are there other options?

It looks like aircrack-ng runs in a terminal window. I need help on how to use this tool. I typed in /usr/bin/aircrack-ng and I get a bunch of stuff on the screen. There is a section called "common options". It shows some letters like "-a" and "-e", etc. How does one use these options?

I'll write a wiki soon.
`airmon-ng` is the first command to run. If your wireless device can enter monitor mode you can proceed. Otherwise you'll be told that you can't use this tool.
