The speeds I get are fine, but on the repos, things are slow. Very slow. Usually >1kb/sec.

It does seem the repos have slowed down lately, say the last 3-4 months, but I don't have any hard data. Things "should" have sped up in the last year since indymedia.org sites aren't there anymore.

Anyway, if I complain to the ISP, they will (rightly) say "what's the traceroutes?" and what download speeds you are getting. I think we may have started that in another thread but i'm not sure.

I've started another thread pre-emptively http://forums.blagblagblag.org/viewtopic.php?t=4646 in the hope that chaps will display their results and you'll have enough ammo to speak to the ISP with.

Things have only been slow for the last week at the most. I used to get upwards of 100K/sec (my max) prior to that. Things seem a bit better today, but I'll post my traceroute in any case.

Traffic on the rsyncs look OK. The cronjob that I used to sync the 70k mirror are all fine.

As a follow-up, I hope I wasn't too hasty in blaming BLAG for being slow. It's probably a problem with crappy local service. Some other websites are slower than I'm used to and I heard similar things from others.

You're off the hook ;)

Seems as if this mirror is stable. Using Munin to monitor this host. Data is publicly available.

Sure. Send me the configs in a PM or email me. Thanks. Note that you'll see peaks every 12 hours. That's the mirror rsyncing with your server.
