hello from Paris fr
No more boot just after grub
i have this message:
booting red hat linux 2.4.20-24.9
boot hd0,0
filesystem type is ext2fs,partition type 0X83
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-24.9 ro root=label=/
linux-bzimage , setup=0X1400 , size=0X10DF50
initrd . initrd-2.4.20-24.9.img
error 15 = file not found
press any key to continue
so i want of course to continue using my blag
what i have to do ...

Have you changed your hard drive master/slave settings or physically changed something on the hard drive?
Also have you edited your grub.conf file?
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-24.9 ro root=label=/
really ought to read
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-24.9 ro root=label=/
if anything because that is where the kernel would be. So edit that and see if it loads up.

hi
i have change nothing
it s append when i turn on the computer
so i use the blag disk to go on console to write on grub.conf
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.20-24.9 ro root=LABEL=/
iinstead of
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-24.9 ro root=LABEL=/
but no succes
sorry
i try also to do that with the c option command ligne on grub start
but no succes to

Have a look inside /boot/ to check the kernel actually exists.

You may be able to boot from the CD and run an upgrade to have the kernel/grub re-installed.

hi all
so; the kernel exist in /boot
i do like jebba say to do an upgrade
blag find the mbr
i tell me after install one paquage if i want a bootdisk
i say yes but i fail to do that....anaconda probl
i tells me i have change nothing on grub and kernel and ivite me to reboot
i reboot
to see.....
no success at all

so i do without create a disk boot
fail
the upgrade find my blag in /dev/hda2
i have to choose this instead of mbr; that is default proposition ?
i have only blag on my computer

on hda2 i have all the stuff
