Just curious to know how much memory people are running BLAG or another GNU/Linux distro on after a discussion on IRC about applications (i.e Firefox, VLC) that are resource hungry.
Also, are you more inclined to upgrade your memory or system or find a lighter environment or application that provides the same functionality.
I've had problems with Firefox and its "resource hungry" ways. I ended up having to downgrade the version to regain functionality so the browser wouldn't keep crashing all the time. I've got 2 Gigs of RAM on my system, but apparently that isn't enough for Firefox to function properly. Really a disappointment.
