I would like to get a couple of THEMES for my BLAG installation. My LCD display isnt the greatest and DARK themes look better and are easier on the eye. The stock themes are OK but I would really like a few that are Darker in color! Could someone point me in the direction on downloading some themes and how to go about installing them? Are the themes a TEXT FILE? Where do they go on computer to store them? Thanks alot...bob :shock:

Look here:

You need a Gnome 2.x theme. Also, gnome 1.4 themes may work as well. You can put them in your home directory if you are installing the theme for just one user. The themes themselves usually come with docs on how to install them. It will be something like this:
1) Find nice theme from http://themes.freshmeat.net
2) download theme to your home directory
3) Uncompress theme ala: | Code: | | tar zxvf newtheme.tar.gz |
4) Go to Menu->Preferences->Theme
5) Hit "Install Theme..." and find your new theme
That should be it. :)
