I'm starting to think that we are moving forward to a world that seems extremely the same everywhere you look. If you travel to Shanghai you'll get used easily to the city because looks very similar to any western city, including ShitDonalds and that kind of garbage; if you travel inside your country is almost the same case, every city has the same form, the same economical structure, the same market.
Even in Russia the difference in their more simple and human way is a threat to the system, a community used to reclaim the street, to protest in it for their rights, the gay community, is suffering a terrible attack from Putin's government. The diversity is the first part of a free society, the right to be different, live in a different way and above all to have different opinions.
In the gnu/linux world I'm starting to see the same homogeneity, people is not using, testing or developing new system, because Debian is so good they had decided to forget the other options. Debian is good because it has a big community, fedora (and the freedora option) is so full of errors because there is a small community, blag is disappearing because there is no community at all. Even Debian lovers should know that diversity is so good because there are different ways to attack the same problem, we can share methods, opinions and knowledge used in different frames but for the same endpoint. As in the corn and all the grains, the homogeneity will lead to the extinction, there are no different genetic information and if a plague attacks one will attack every one.
If there are some blaggers still reading this (sounds like message send from a spacecraft), don't let the world be all the same, support the diversity even as a political standpoint, that's why blag exists, isn't it?
