Good Day.

I'm am actively working on resolving the problem. I received the same error and have to rebuild the repo database. As it takes some time, you should be able to install packages at the time this message was sent, but you might have the same problem occur again as it rebuilds. I do apologize and thank you for letting me know.

Over the weekend I hope to smooth any problems with the repo and your feedback is invaluable.

I noticed that BLAG 20K comes with gFTP. Based on similar problems like described here I would suggest moving to FileZilla if possible. That application does not have the same problems and is released under the GPL which makes it a free/libre replacement.

same as Hy::

Quote:
[root@localhost blaguser]# yum update
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks, list-data, remove-with-leaves
blag | 2.6 kB 00:00
ftp://blag.fsf.org/200000/updates/blag/ ... repomd.xml: [Errno 14] FTP Error 550 - Server denied you to change to the given directory
Trying other mirror.

Sorry, i'm quite new to Fedora, i only know how to troubleshoot with pacman.

This should resolve your issues.

1. Download blag-release-200000-2 for your respective architecture

2. Install using 'rpm -Uvh [packagename]' or 'yum localinstall [package name]'

In reviewing the logs provided by Hy, the blag.repo is referencing the blag and blag-updates directory, which have been updated in the new file provided by the updated blag-release package.

You will be prompted as well to install updated fedora and linux-libre keys as well, which also have been updated as well.

Hi I hope blag 200000 can be downloaded via torrent then, because I have bad internet connection here.

Hello blag developers, after a long busyday finally I'm glad I can drop to this forum again. I'm used blag 140k over last year ago and i have downloaded blag 2000k alpha as well testing it yesterday. Blag 140k is nice but the web browser can't play flash by default. Is only that little thing blag would be more awesome and fun. I hope there will be open source alternative for that implemented in next blag 2000k. Please develop it pleasee :-)

and remember I'm finaly graduated from high scholl yay!

Recommendations for post-installation of Blag 200k:
1. Download and install the nice quotes:
(https://notabug.org/PangolinTurtle/BLAG-fortune)
Code:
sudo yum install fortune-mod
cd /tmp
mkdir fortunes
cd fortunes
wget https://notabug.org/PangolinTurtle/BLAG-fortune/archive/master.tar.gz
tar xzf master.tar.gz
d=$(find /usr/share/games -type d -iname 'fortune*' | head -n 1) #hope for the best
n=$(dirname $d)
sed -i s-\"$n'[^"]*-"'$d- install.sh
sudo ./install.sh
cat << OEF >> fortunes.sh
# Taken from Blag 140k
if [ -x /usr/bin/fortune ]; then
    /usr/bin/fortune -s anarchism    # Makes our day a bit more fun.... :-)
fi
echo ""
OEF
chmod 644 fortunes.sh
sudo cp fortunes.sh /etc/profile.d/

2. Install and customize emacs-terminal
Code:
sudo yum install emacs-terminal

Make a file called prompt.sh with this code and copy to /etc/profile.d
Code:
# prompt.sh taken from Blag 140k (slightly changed)
# Define some colors first:
# Define a few Color's
LIGHTBLUE=$(tput setaf 4);
LIGHTGREEN=$(tput setaf 2);
LIGHTRED=$(tput setaf 1);
BOLD=$(tput bold);
NC=$(tput sgr0);

\# Show only two   directories
PROMPT_DIRTRIM=2

#-------------------------------------------------------------
# Shell Prompt
#-------------------------------------------------------------

PS1='\j[\[$LIGHTRED$BOLD\]\t\[$NC\]][\[$LIGHTGREEN$BOLD\]\w\[$NC\]]\$ '
[ "$(whoami)" == "root" ] && echo "$(whoami)" && PS1='\j[\[$LIGHTGREEN$BOLD\]\t\[$NC\]][\[$LIGHTRED$BOLD\]\w\[$NC\]]\$ '
EFO

Code:
sudo chmod 644 prompt.sh
sudo cp prompt.sh /etc/profile.d

3. To quote a famous Blagger: "Blag'em up"

Hello,

I decided I would test out BLAG. For years I've been using Trisquel, simply because it was the only free as in freedom OS that would work with my laptop and it stays very much up to date. To my delight, BLAG 200000 is working beautifully on my Acer E1-570.

Today I typed 'sudo yum update' and got the error below:

ftp://blag.fsf.org/200000/freed-ora/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] curl#7 - "Failed connect to blag.fsf.org:21; No route to host"

I have also noticed that every link to retrieve BLAG 200000 seems to be down. Why is this the case? Is everyone concentrating on BLAG 210000 now?

Keep up the great work!

Steve

Steve,

The BLAG Server is down and will be back online on Monday for you to download the iso files. The system should update the repos once it's back up as well.
