after around 60minutes 29k installed on the older machine.
This was the slowest install ever on that machine, Morphix use to hold the turtle title at 50mins.
May I request that a swap partition be put into use for install or even a swap file to help with extraction

FYI, the installer DOES use swap files under certain circumstances, because the installer did that to me on my older box (P2 350mhz, 64MB of RAM).

Ya, if you partition and format a swap space, the installer will use the swap. It gets activated right after the swap partition is formatted.
You can ctrl-alt-f2 and run `free` there to confirm this.
