Would be nice to have a RAR archiver in the apt repository. The one at http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm is a binary trial...

I don't know of any free software rar applications. I can add it if you know of any.

May I suggest that Blagg Server install to have an Option to install Zero Install in default installation.

"Zero Install"? I don't get it. Blag has a "miniblag" installation that can be done. It's the bare minimum install (around 350megs).

I noticed at www.freshrpms.net that they have a rar program for redhat Linux.

-Jeff | Please just read http://zero-install.sourceforge.net/ if you could spare few minutes, it is not about minimum install, IMHO it is more suitable for default server install.

Zero-install. I remember that project now. I don't think I'll be implementing it in blag any time soon. I'm not sure it's any easier than apt-get. Also, very very very few applications support it.

I was wondering if you could add direct connect file sharing to the new blag release.

Do you mean like p2p stuff or single user to single user? SCP is awesome for the latter. If you want anonymous, then an anonymous FTP server works well too.

Sorry, I should have explained more. I meant the program called (direct connect) for file sharing.

It looks like DC-QT is the most popular Linux version. I have been using direct connect for years now with windows 2000 and I love it. This would be so awesome to be able to use it on blag linux instead. Thanks!

My mistake this would be the correct one. http://dcgui.berlios.de/ Also MLdonkey is a great file sharing program too. However it is not the same thing as the Direct Connect program. Direct connect is for downloading one file from one person at a time and it doesn't use p2p file sharing. You also select which hub of file sharing you want. However ML donkey uses p2p so this might be worth adding too since it is like using Kazaa.

I am not too sure if games are all that important but I would like to see some more with blag. How about some of the games that normally come with mandrake linux such as frozen bubble, bz flag, and armagetron.
