I have 49999.00014 installed on my laptop. If I do apt-get dist-upgrade will that upgrade it to the newest beta, or do I have to do a clean install?

Code:
apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install kernel#2.6.16-1.2111_FC5

will get you to the latest version. You can leave out the last step though, as in .00014 that kernel was included. There is a new kernel coming soon.

BTW, I thought you'd like to know. Suspend to disk and suspend to ram both are working perfectly on my Dell inspiron 1100 laptop. I've never had it work this good before, that includes fedora core 5 also. Usually, if it works at all, I'd get sporadic problems coming out of suspend. But so far no problems at all.

Good to see that it's working. I know there has been a lot of work by the kernel developers to get it sorted. :)

The whole suspend to disk deal finally working is starting to make blag50k look VERY tasty. I'm anxiously awaiting the final release.. or is the 49999 series close enough to where I could install it and just apt-get dist-upgrade whenever the final release comes out?

I'd say you can probably just install it and dist-upgrade and be safe, but I never want to make that the final word....
