IPv6 is enabled by default in Fedora Core 2. There are likely very very few people that need this, and those that do need it, most likely know that they need it.
It's been reported that IPv6 slows down mozilla and probably some other applications since it tries to do DNS resolution via IPv6 first.
I was thinking of disabling IPv6 by default in blag, by doing a cheepie in blag-firstboot. I'd simply add the line:
| Code: | | echo "alias net-pf-10 off" >> /etc/modprobe.conf |
Anyone who wanted IPv6 could just remove this line from /etc/modprobe.conf.
This sounds kinda reasonable to me, but I'm putting it to y'all to see if there is anyone who thinks this is madness.

I would turn it off and focus on helping the not so experienced users. Those who need and want it can enable it a lot with perhaps a lot less effort than someone new to BLAG.
