Hi
I'm trying to install Mozilla 1.7. In the Add/Remove Apps - Package Mgmt. I get the message: 29999.60002 disk1 needed to install.
What does this mean?
Thanks for the distro. My first Linux install after 9 months with Knoppix/ Kanotix live CDs. Great stuff.
Regards
Brian

It looks like you have a beta install and it wants the CD so it can install mozilla.
You could also just run this:
| Code: | apt-get update
apt-get install mozilla |
or use Synaptic, which is far nicer thatn "Add/Remove Packages"

Hi
apt-get reported: mozilla is already newest version.
Synaptic reported that Mozilla was installed in Apps/Internet - it is not.
I can run it from /usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.6/run/mozilla.sh.
But I can't copy and paste that file to the panel or desktop because I don't have owner permissions.

Well, if apt-get and synaptic say mozilla is installed, then it really is installed. :)
What happens if you just run `mozilla` from the command line. You shouldn't have to do any of that other foo to get it going. On a typical install, it just puts it in the menu, unless you deleted it or something.
