I did a blagblagblag install of 3k and can only get a maximum resolution of 800x600.
How can I change this to 1024x768 so I can get the windows to fit better to get to the OK buttons at the bootom of the windows? I hope you know what I mean?
Thanks

Go to:
Menu->System Settings->Display
In there, hit the "Hardware" Tab, then "Configure" for the monitor. Then select your monitor or "Generic 1024x768" or whatever display size it is that you want.

Jebba, I tried that but was looking for my monitor which was not listed
and I only had 800x600 or 640 x 480 as defaults
I found the generic crt setting for 1024x768 and it added the option to the list of resolutions.
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly

You could find the specs on you monitor (refresh rate) and manually update the xorg file with the new setting.
