I upgraded to 2.6.11-1.14 recently.

I use one keyboard and a monitor that is shared between two
PCs - LINUX & WINDOWS. When I enter scroll_lock+scroll_lock+up_arrow
key sequence I used to be able to toggle between two machines. This
used to work fine in 2.6.10-770 and the earlier kernels.

Now when I do this, the mouse goes haywire. I lose the mouse pointer
and its control. The only way to get out of this is to reboot the system.

Any ideas why this happens.

Cheers.

Harry

The next time this happens, don't log out straight away. Press the following keys at the same time <ctrl> <alt> <fn>, where fn can be any function key from f1 to f6. This should give you another login screen in a virtual terminal. Log as a regular user. Once logged in try;
Code:
 dmesg

you may want to redirect this to a file with
Code:
 dmesg > nameofsomefile.txt

This will alow you read it later or use it for diagnosis purposes.
