When I was a child, back in the 60's I used to occasionally listen to an lp (this was before cassette tapes and cds) called "The Investigator". It was a parody of Joseph McCarthy, junoir senator from Wisconsin who was a leading figure in the anti-communist witch hunts of the 1950s in the United States. My father told me he had obtained a copy during the middle of the McCarthy era and that he thought it had come from Canada. That is the only thing I knew about it. I've thought about getting the lp from my mother who lives in Maine and still owns it, and ripping it to mp3 files and posting it on my web site. That's when I found a web site about it, along with the story of the play and it's author.
It turns out that the lp was a direct copy of the tapes of a radio play by the CBC. It's author, Reuben Ship, was a former Canadian script writer, working in Hollywood who was blacklisted by the House Un-american Activities Committee and deported back to Canada. He wrote the play for the CBC and later (evidently) helped smuggle the tapes into the United States where a record company produced bootleg versions which got wide distribution in the U.S. It was one of those bootleg copies that my father purchased. I just thought it was appropriate to celebrate this hero of free speech for his contribution. The radio play is excellent. Those spammers are getting pretty stealthy, putting pill and porn links in periods and commas. Then again... what is the point?
On second thought, what is the point of spam in the first place? Jeez.
Just a little off-topic rant from seeing the little hand cursor flash for a split second.

Well we will just keep deleting spam. The users here know what spam is and thus the spammers efforts are totally wasted.
