BLAG30003 (bicycle) has been released.
BLAG Linux and GNU is a 100% Free Software distribution.
BLAG is a single-cd distro with everything desktop users "expect" from a desktop, plus a collection of nice server apps.
BLAG30003 is based on Fedora Core 3 plus updates, adds apps from Dag, Freshrpms, NewRPMS, and includes custom packages.
BLAG30003 is the latest update to the BLAG30k series, using updates from the Fedora Legacy project.
Updates include a new kernel, httpd, openssh, firefox, mozilla, liferea, gtkpod, scribus, gpdf, lshw, & udev.
Overall, 42 packages were changed on the CD.
The latest BLAG alpha (test) release is based on Fedora Core 5.

hi Steve and John,
Wow you two are quick !! Did you wiped out Blag30002 and install fresh Blag30003 ?
Have you "ported" your existing desktop and program settings from previous verison to the new version ? My guess would be just copying-over the saved home directory from the previous version into the new version ? is this safe to do ?
Me.. i think I'll wait till the 50K stable release comes out, before I got nuts reconfiguring all my settings again and again. But its not that much anyways.. heres what I do and will always do upon fresh installs..
1) change wallpaper to "grass" and theme to "smokey blue"
2) change streamtuner default 'save' directory to 'home\Blag-music' directory
3) change audacity 'temp' directory to 'home\audacity-tmp' directory
4) change gimp 'temp' directory to 'home\gimp-tmp' directory
5) add to the menu bar the following : stock ticker, weather, etc
6) etc.
but what are some of the differences between 30002 and 30003 ?

Most likely not. You can just do an upgrade with CD or with apt-get/yum.

apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install kernel#2.6.12-2.3.legacy_FC3 |
That will bring you up-to-date with 30003. You don't have to redo all your configs and such nor do a fresh install.
In fact, with every version of blag so far you haven't had to do a fresh install from stable to stable releases.
