after installing screensaver earlier today, i have 14 in there now. screensaver is there. no icon shows up for user interface though.

just as a shot in the dark, install orage and see if you get an icon for user interface.

i may try that, but i think i'd rather be missing that icon then installing another one to put on tool bar/system tray, or whatever it's called. i hate crap on my desktop, for the most part.

just wiped a computer of mine clean of windows and zenwalk. installed blag70000 and instantly had to come here to find this thread again.
sheesh! what a pain to get the dependencies for xfce! glad i had e-mailed the url to this specific thread to myself before.
personally,
i'd rather see xfce or kde installed as the default desktop.

did that give you a working xfce desktop without doing anything else?
