I believe something up there works with USB, but I don't know which. Here's a list of USB net drivers, but they may not be wireless:

asix.ko
catc.ko
cdc_ether.ko
cdc_subset.ko
gl620a.ko
kaweth.ko
net1080.ko
pegasus.ko
plusb.ko
rndis_host.ko
rtl8150.ko
usbnet.ko
zaurus.ko
zd1201.ko

By the way, I'm just looking in:
/lib/modules/2.6.17-1.2157_FC5/kernel/drivers/net/wireless
/lib/modules/2.6.17-1.2157_FC5/kernel/drivers/usb/net

I am just waiting a couple of months to receive a 5 years old Toshiba laptop from my good ol'friend who doesn't use it anymore becae he feels it is too outdated...

As soon as it shows up, I'll wipe the hdd, and do that automatic install, the "blagblagblag" one !!!

Then I'll have to indentify the wireless device, and according to him, it is a pcmcia device...

Can't wait to play with my own laptop (I am such a desktop kid... all these years starring at CRT's...)

:o)

Linus just released 2.6.17.7, which Dave Jones was using for his next FC5 kernel. So in the next few days that should be released and then 50001 will be forthcoming.

Jebba, you might consider updating the yum repository for Freshrpms for 50001. It was a little off in 50k. I'm still having trouble seeing ID3V2 tags with XMMS, and it halts occasionally, forcing me to hit the Pause button twice to get it going again. I don't know if anyone else is having that problem, and I didn't see anything on Fedoraforums. Anyway, I don't have a solution, so I'll just shut up. You've already updated the Audacity package. Otherwise 50k is pretty ducky, AFAIK.

-how about automount partitions (fat32 & ntfs...) ?
I believe you can automount fat32 partitions if you specify the mount point in the expert partitioning tool, but it mounts it read-only for regular users, so you have to edit your FSTAB.

I did the automount following the wiki, and it worked fine for my 2 fat32 partitions, but I could not manage my ntfs partition...

Caraibes, you may want to look back at the Blag NTFS & FSTAB pages. Some schmuck updated them with more information about mounting NTFS partitions.

The version of sox that comes on BLAG seems to be the Fedora version with no mp3. It sounds like if one recompiles the rpm from the srpm with the required libraries installed: (libmad libmad-devel lame lame-devel) one would get an MP3 enabled sox. From what I read this would also enable graveman to use MP3s.

Anyways, this would be really nifty to find on 50001
