For any chess players out there, there is a really good free chess database called scid which is unavailable in fedora compatible rpm. I created an rpm of it with checkinstall and it is available here: http://www.gnu-linux.us/scid-3.6.1-1.i386.rpm . I don't know how well it will install on other machines but if you try it I'd be interested in hearing whether it installed for you.

Information on this package and source package can be found at http://scid.sourceforge.net/

If you upload your scid.spec file to bugzilla, I'll see if I can get it in the repo.

bugzilla can be a bit, um, intimidating, perhaps the first time you use it. No worries though, once you get used to it. It is very good to learn because many free software projects use it.
