just to be more explicit, 21stcentuytechnosapien is referring to the #blag channel on the irc.indymedia.org server.

I got this wrong to. - The plan is that everyone tries to attend the meeting when it's 7pm at /his own timezone/. If you can join when it's 7pm in another TZ that would make things even cooler. (:

Hi!
I just moved to Brixton and I wonder if you still have Brixton meetings?
I will be honest, I am selfish clueless girl. Basically I just joint Ubuntu community a month a go and I do not have much clue about computers. My problem is that I forgot my password and can not install updates. I was reading many forums and advices how to fix this, but I do not understand, jao, I am afraid that I will ruin my comp if I mess too much.
I would like to meet someone in person from Brixton and would pay him to do reinstallation or getting password with me.
Hugs,
metka

hey,
There are loads of ways of either changing your password or over riding it so that you can have a new one. First, when you turn your computer/laptop on, you should be asked for a passwd. Is this the passwd that you cannot remember?
In the meantime !ping weyasey ;-) You'll be there on Thurs?

When I turn off/on my computer I am not asked for password. I am aksed for it when I want to update or install smth. That is my problem, since eventually I will need updates.

metka,
When you say "it's not working" can you expand? What do you see/hear on your box?
Mind bringing out a few cold beers out to the beach in Altea? :-)

|
|
How does everyone feel about January 2010 meetings every Thursday from 7-9PM based on the timezone that you are in.
These meetings would take place on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th.
If we could have moderators coordinate the discussion between 2-8 hours perhaps this would help bring about some workflow.
I think we should plan the agenda for each meeting a week ahead of time. We can work the next two weeks in brainstorming agendas and topics that will be important for us to discuss development process.
I thought the first few meetings this month could start with brief introductions from the attendees followed by a specific topic.
Some possible topics could be:
What to expect from the next release?
How are we going to develop the next release?
Who will primarily be working on the next release?
What roles are needed to make this release successful?
When do we want the next release available?
What version of Fedora will the next released be based on?
Where are we going to host the next release?
Is blag dead or alive?
What will define the next version of blag compared to its predecessors?
What is the status of the website/wiki
Add what you think is necessary. In the next week perhaps we can start refining a list of topics? Also, if people need help installing/configuring an IRC client(i.e X-Chat) we can use the time to get members educated about how to do this, but please read the BLAG IRC Channel first. There is a good amount of documentation there to do this.
Perhaps other time can be dedicated during the month to have tutorials and other discussions if people want to get together based on time zones to meet others and discuss other related topics.
Thanks for your time
P.S. If you need a visual map of your timezone, you can use http://www.worldtimezone.com/
