4:26am! That's impressive. Thanks for the efforts as always.
I take it
| Code: | apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade |
Will upgrade from 50002?
Kind regards

Answer: yes!
| Code: | pablo@brixton=> cat /etc/blag-release
BLAG release 50003 (sancerre) |
Not sure if there is a newer kernel than the one I had installed with BLAG 50002:
| Code: | pablo@brixton=> uname -a
Linux brixton 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5 #1 Sat Oct 14 16:59:26 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux |

As per Jebba himself, the latest is 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5.
To install:
| Code: | apt-get update
apt-get install kernel#2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 |
|
|
|
 |
pistonbrew

That kernel seems a lot faster! :-)

Nice. I had a couple issues with 50k2 near the end there, but with the new kernel problems seem to be alleviated. Nice.

I think just a simple apt-get upgrade is sufficient if you want to save yourself a few key strokes. After I did that command I got:
| Quote: | blagpro ~]$ cat /etc/blag-release
BLAG release 50003 (sancerre) |
For me the dist-upgrade updates three extra packages, as well, mostly parted, but it removes gparted and qtparted, so it is best for me to stick with a simple apt-get upgrade.
| Quote: | # apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Done
The following packages will be upgraded
parted pstoedit pyparted
The following packages will be REMOVED:
gparted qtparted
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libEMF
3 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 2 removed and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 1154kB of archives.
After unpacking 1683kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] |
I didn't see anything at Distrowatch. I guess after the kopfweh they inflicted on Jebba for 50002 for not jazzing up the release announcement we won't be announcing minor updates to them?

They're subscribed to blag-announce and they updated the page, they just didn't put us on the frontpage.
Thanks,

Ya, I didn't do a writeup. New kernel. New bits. Less things to download after install. Works a bit better. Whatever. RELEASE-NOTES and Changelog @ http://www.blagblagblag.org/developers/

I have never seen a distribution that comes close to the quality of BLAG for use on my home computer.
