The main project says that I can run a command line version of windows 7zip with wine, but all attempts have been unsuccessful. I tried p7zip in the hopes that it might work as well, but after installation I tried to get a list of contents from a file/extract from it, but it said that the target file wasn't in 7z format, which I'm pretty sure it is.

Any other programs out there I could try? I've searched a bunch and didn't come across any, so any help would be nice.

uh jason, that's not gonna help. its win32 only.

http://p7zip.sourceforge.net/

it supposedly will work on *nix

Linux binary:

Source (if you have devel tools installed, compiling from source, as usual, is recommended)

Thanks guys, but I already stated that I tried both of those things and am yet looking for an alternative. Anything else?
