BLAG is my number one distro. I had major withdrawl symptoms when the server was robbed/stolen/confiscated cos i couldn't run updates. i was changing the kernel like every five mins and did not make back ups of the orig
Desktop? It's no big deal for me. It's only recently that I've bothered to change things like the desktop and the loggin screen. There's a good feeling seeing the default d/top and congigured X when you've installed BLAG.
Hope it's not being disrespectfull but but here's a few eye candy links...

Hi,
The default theme is just a suggestion.
With Gnome it is very easy to change themes.
You can install gnome-theme-extras.rpm from Fedora 1 repository.
Personally I use Nuvola Theme (Surf Blue).
