The top three lines, ("cannot foo"), get spat out --a lot--, especially when running some gtk-based apps, (gnome-phone-manager comes to mind). Will google this later. Does this require bugzilla?

I too was seeing Locale errors when trying to run system-config-network on the LiveCD
