Good Day All,
Last night I installed the FC7 kernel....changed the 6 to 7 in the sources list and ran the dist-upgrade...
PERFECT.
Many Thanks again to all involved...
Hope I didn't hog the server too much while I slept !!

|
|
Hi,
Regarding your upgrades to 7000k, did any packages break at all or not upgrade completely. When doing a fresh install of 7000k and trying to install Democracy or other applications that I used in 6000k, Synaptic states they are no installable. Has anyone had any problems with any packages updating?
Thank You

21stcenturytechnosapien,
Democracy was broken on mine as well. Haven't found any others so far .
Solution: uninstall it and install the FC7 version through synaptic.

The best way to upgrade is to download the latest cd image from Blag, burn the iso image ,put in cd drive, reboot...etc.etc.etc.
OR
Order a cd from http://www.thelinuxstore.ca
Don't use my lazy man's procedure unless you want to take a chance on borking your entire system.
