|
|
Hi,
I want to try using KIAX. After starting up the program, I created an account. I actually left everything alone except the account name.
I click the "connect" button, and it allows me to use the dial pad. Now, how do I dial? Let's say I want to call my office phone, which is in the same town. Normally (on my home phone) I dial the 7 digit number. What do I dial with KIAX?
Thanks,
Mike H

You can just dial "#" and hit the "play"-looking button and it will connect you to asterisk. The free long distance isn't going at the moment though....

Hi Jebba,
OK, I tried what you suggested and after hitting the pound sign and the play button, I get the girl's voice saying "Welcome to...."
So, if I want to dial my home phone (just as a test) I would dial country code+area code+7 digit number. Is that correct?
This is what I tried, but I get a voice saying something about 1 call per hour. Since you say the service is not working, I'll try again some other time. But, do I have the dialing process right?
Mike

Yes, you are doing it correctly. Anna (of the hippo desktop) answers and says "welcome to blasterisk", then you hit "9", then you dial 1-555-555-5555 or whatever the number is. I apologize that the calling long distance is currently "foo".
