he must've used a different iso than i did, as my install didn't go the same way his did, and i pretty much did a simple, straight install.
doesn't sound like he's learned how to update the menu in fluxbox either, which was one of the first things i looked up, even being a relatively new linux user.

I'm surprised he prefers evolution, I would think that Claws Mail would be a better alternative. Also, it's less of the trademarks that represents a problem in Firefox / Thunderbird, as those are easily taken care of with the compiler switch. The real potential issue is them suggesting to install non free software and not even telling the user that it's not free.
