Do you mean totally wipe your system or just boot up your old Windows install (if you are dual booting)?

If you want to totally reinstall, just pop in the Windows CD. Believe me it will take over your system and totally get rid of Linux unfortunately.

If you have an install but cannot access it, pop in the CD, boot into the recovery console and type fixmbr. This will allow you to boot into Windows once more.

Before you do that though, are you sure you want to go back? I won't sit here and give some pep talk but something obviously made you try Linux out in the first place. For the most part it's the spiralling cost, the instability and the lack of freedom that drive people away from Windows.

May I ask what was wrong with Linux? I know it takes some getting used to but so few people I know have actually gone back. So I am curious. Whatever you do though good luck.

When you re-install windows, do yourself a favour and leave a partition free of at least 5 gigs.

Linux (most distros) will pick that up and offer to install themselves onto the empty partition, and automatically set up an option to boot into Windows (or existing OS) or Linux.

Good luck.
