I found something very interesting from lwn.net...they announced a test version of FC3 for PPC.

maybe the PPC BLAG project could actually get rolling.

this would be fantastic if it happened. i got a battered old titanium g4 powerbook [dropped down stairs!] which i would be willing to run testing releases on... and quite a few older mac boxen.

Hmm, is there still any demand for a PPC port? I would be interested in helping out [as much as I can].
I have two macs. One is a Power Macintosh [Beige] G3. The other is an iBook G4. So who's with me?

I don't have a mac. I do have some weird genesis (or something like that) ppc system, but i don't have access to it at the moment.
I'm really not too interested in working on a PPC port as blag is marginal enough as it is, and the ppc numbers are quite low...
But if someone else wants to do it, i'm all for it and will help out where needed. Around 6 years ago, I worked at Terrasoft, the makers of Yellow Dog Linux, so I have some experience with PPC, albeit quite a long time ago. As a side note, here's a ppc prototype mini-cluster I built for them in my basement:
