|
|
| Quote: | Gnuzilla is the GNU version of the Mozilla suite, and GNU IceCat is the GNU version of the Firefox browser. Its main advantage is an ethical one: it is entirely free software. While the source code from the Mozilla project is free software, the binaries that they release include additional non-free software. Also, they distribute and recommend non-free software as plug-ins.

recently i got working a BLAG 70000 system (great system) and i got a question;
if icecat is more free, why firefox is by default in blag?

icecat? iceweasel? hmm. Our ff build uses `./configure --not-official-goo` or whatever and calls itself deek park, minefield, or whatever depending on the version. This iceweasel or this icecat (which is the first time i've heard of it) could be added. Do you know of anyone that builds it for fedora or even suse or similar that has a spec? Or even better a repo that packages them?
Thanks,
-Jeff

I've had a quick look for some spec files. Only found the sources here:-
