Here's an article with lots of links showing all the problems with Mono. While mono is in the blag repository, BLAG doesn't include any mono apps by default and never plans to.

Poor Novell. I wonder if they really know who they've got into bed with. Like when the beer wears off from a "night out", Novell has had a fling with MS and probably caught something.

I like a couple of the mono apps, like Muine, but have never really been comfortable with Mono itself. That, and the fact the apps can all be "replaced" with alternatives, i think i'lll stay clear.

| I have not used this Mono thing so won't miss having it in the repo any ways I prefer Stereo these days :)

I haven't really played around with Mono, but I've seen a bit of .Net and it's quite awful, both client and server side.

Boy after seeing all the stuff on Mono I certainly don't want it in my distro.

The only mono app i tried and liked was Muine. The rest offer nothing truly irreplacable. No thanks Mono, I prefer to do things my way.:)

I've touched mono a couple times but don't really like it very much. I've steered clear ever since.
