|
|
there's a "new" kernel showing up in my "new in repository" section of synaptix. is this actually a "new" kernel 2.6.23.17-88, or is the blag libre kernel 2.6.24.2.1 newer/securer?
i have installed the fedora kernel on 3 machines now, but on this one, i get a kernel panic and stuff halts. other 2 boot fine. it is related to the fact that i installed initng and removed it, but it still shows up in bootloader and boot options. never got a response that issue here, http://forums.blagblagblag.org/viewtopic.php?t=4720. it's something about can't find sbin, or something. where the heck is the log file located at in blag?

Use the kernel-libre packages, when available. I actually don't have them in the "older" repos yet, but will be putting them there.
| Code: | apt-get update
apt-get install kernel-libre
*OR*
yum install kernel-libre |
