Hey all...
I run BLAGHEAD without problems on my laptop, but yesterday tried to install on a friend's PC, everything went ok,
When rebooted, gnome was missing, fluxbox remains.. although some gnome- packages are installed, others are missing or were removed...
for instance control-center, metacity; Among others were removed when did apt-get dist-upgrade from 70K.
Trying to install some of those packages or dependencies... got a "broken packages" message from apt, or that "it is not going to be installed"..

I didn't get this kind of problems with previous BLAGHEAD installations.. any idea???

thanks...

By the way, 23 packages removed by apt-get dist-upgrade:
audacious
audacious-plugins
audacious-plugins-extras
audacious-plugins-jack
audacious-plugins-pulseaudio
control-center
firstboot
firstboot-tui
gnome-power-manager
gnome-session
gnome-volume-manager
gstreamer-plugins-bad
libtunepimp
listen
mencoder
metacity
pirut
redhat-artwork
streamtuner
system-config-display
system-config-keyboard
thoggen
xine-lib-moles

Uh, you removed `gnome-session`. Well-liked, by gnome users around the world.

If a `apt-get dist-upgrade` is going to remove a bunch of stuff, simply don't do it. Do a `apt-get update && apt-get upgrade` instead or do nothing at all!

So I have to do everything again.... but this time in order to avoid this problem, I should apt-get upgrade. Isn't there a solution from this point?
what is the behavior of apt-get upgrade when using BLAGHEAD repos...?

I'd not like to loose nice apps like streamtuner, audacious or such... so what is it needed to avoid loosing good apps when doing an apt-get dist-upgrade?

Well 'm doing an apt-get upgrade right now!
I didn't delete downloaded packages before when did dist-upgrade, so no time to waste downloading... :)

It asked me to download: streamtuner, gnome-session, gail, gnome-volume-manager libgssapi libmp4v2 system-config-display system-config-keyboard
I proceeded to download those missing packages... so seems to be ok by now...

After this I'll try a dist-upgrade just to see the output message... I'll keep in touch..
