Thanks! I tried installing the 64 bit one, and found out I only have 32 bits. I guess I never realized how low powered my computer was, everything just seems to run fine with BLAG. 900Mhz i686 256MB RAM
I ended up spending my time testing out gNewSense instead. Runs fer smooth, doesn't mess up my system like Ubuntu. Not as pretty n some ways, and not as good selection of apps.

Confirmed. Has happened to me twice. Start ffx, update some packages.... watch the system freeze for a bit.
Also I close the lid and X is gone completely. Gonna look into the logs..

Installing gems is also a lot easier.
*ahem* is there any chance of a change log in the repos to evaluate the differences between the different minor releases? blagnoise, perhaps?

Different minor releases of what? You know you can do:
| Code: | | rpm -q --changelog ruby |
right? That just includes the .rpm changelog, not Ruby's changelog itself--you would need to grab that from the source or perhaps /usr/share/doc/foo

Today I upgraded from 70K(fresh install) --> 90K using repos, not the alpha cd.
just doing:
apt-get install upstart util-linux-ng ncurses-libs
apt-get dist-upgrade
*this will remove thoggen xine-lib-moles audacious-plugins-extras which can be recovered
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
On the way conflicts may appear, so rpm -e --noscripts or --nodeps , after that
apt-get --fix-broken upgrade/dist-upgrade depending on what option you executed.
This way, you get a nice BLAG 90K, with its great software colleciton and without all those GB' bits(including mono crap) from the alpha cd.. But it is important to keep testing that cd, in order to get the final one..
Now I'm happy running BLAG: 70K, 90K, BLAGHEAD :) all its flavors ;)

As posted to blag-devel mailing list (with more details I suppose--and some at blag-noise), I have added freshrpms and kriehn repo to BLAG90k. Next time you update, the list will be added to your apt config (you'll have to do `apt-get update` a second time after the new config gets installed). It is available for yum too at your next `yum update`.
Freshrpms includes things like cinelerra. Kriehn adds enlightenment e17 packages. :)
