|
|
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a program to open DWG drawing files, such as those created in AutoCAD?
I know QCad will open DXF, but I have a case where I need to open this DWG.
Ultimately, I want to make a PDF from the file.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

I've been using dia for making drawings of networks and network infrastructure in general. | Code: | apt-cache search dxf
OpenSceneGraph-libs - OpenSceneGraph Libraries
dia - Diagram drawing program
stardict - A powerful dictionary platform written in GTK+2
libg3d - Library for loading and manipulating 3D objects
openbabel - Chemistry software file format converter
openoffice.org-core - Core modules for openoffice.org |
Dia's in the repo. Not sure if it's "CAD" ready but do give it a try and report back, huh?

Hi, Thanks for the advice. However, I installed Dia Diagram Editor, but it seems the DWG file type is unsupported. Is there a way to open DWG files other than "File - Open"?

You know, blender may be able to do it... Or try searching for that format in http://freshmeat.net perhaps there is a program to convert it.
