Just wondering out loud - im still stuck using debian for my music due to the need for an RT kernel. Is realtime preemption possible with linux libre? If so could someone point me to the right resources and my apologises for not looking hard enough in the first place.

There are RT kernels for fedora 9 available from the ccrma project. Unfortunately, they are not build from linux-libre.
I may build some myself and see how the patching goes here in a bit, to test them with eees.
