I'm using minefield bundled with 90k. I want to disable the search facility from the address bar. for instance http://foo should point to a local server called foo-de-blah. however minefield thinks that i'm looking for a url called http://foo.{com,org,co.uk}.
how the heck to i prevent ffx/minfield from doing this?

I dont know offhand, but try checking by entering in the URL:
about:config
If you find it, I would consider making that the default too, if it's generally wanted. Seems like it may be a good idea.

this has been a constant pain for me with web browsers. What's even worse is when you try to go to http://secretserver.local and then it bounces the address off google or something.
